Results from the Pro Stock Showdown at The Strip

LAS VEGAS --

Justin Humphreys of Monrovia, Md., won today's rain-delayed Pro Stock Showdown over Johnny Gray at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Heavy rain caused the competition to be postponed from Saturday to Sunday. Humphreys ran 6.794 sec./204.05 mph as Gray coasted across the finish line at 77 mph.

In Super Comp, Jack Freckman (Woodacre, Calif.) took home the $5,000 winner's check over Jeff Blackwell.

"Bad" Brad Plourd of Maple Valley, Wash., scored $5,000 by defeating Dan Thomas of Overton, Nev., in the Stock/Super Stock Combo class.

Charlie Waggoner Jr. of Los Angeles went home $2,500 richer as he aced the final round over Ryan Herem of Quartz Hill, Calif.

Mel Uechi of Las Vegas won $3,000 in Top Sportsman competition over Dave Zewe of Hesperia, Calif.

Jason Dawson of N. Las Vegas won the $3,000 Top Dragster first-place check by defeating Val Torres Jr. of Valinda, Calif.

Super Pro: Dave Morgan of Concord, Calif., defeated Justin Lamb of Henderson.

Pro: Scott Horsley of Las Vegas defeated Mark Miyashiro of Torrance, Calif.
